Thresh Bakery

In 2021, I was pursuing my goal of one day being able to do brand design full-time. That sometimes meant creating portfolio work, because every graphic designer knows that sometimes you have to create the work you want to get. (Case in point: Ceramica > Maple Leaf Pottery!).

The concept behind Thresh was a bread-only bakery. That’s right – no cookies, cakes, pies, or pastry! Thresh would essentially be a one-stop for all things bread, such as rolls, buns, croissants, biscuits, challah, sourdough, and brioche.

The inspiration behind Thresh included lots of textures, and a few organic elements (wheat, rye, etc). I wanted the palette to feel warm, and the font to feel timeless yet cool. Taking home a loaf of bread from Thresh should be an experience that both inspires confidence and creates community.

What do you think? Would you buy from this bakery?
