I had to share this photo shoot I did with my friend Kristen for our upcoming pop-up shop (Saturday the 13th at Union Coffee if you're in the area!). I'm excited about where our photography skills are going, and this little joint venture. We're planning to make the remainder of our inventory available online after the popup shop, and develop a definitive product line of both handmade and vintage pieces. Follow along on Instagram at @mkvintagehandmade for updates and info!
In the meantime, enjoy this styled vintage handmade photo shoot! I've never done anything quite like this before, and it was a blast. We stood and shivered in the cold with mugs of cocoa while we styled and switched off pieces. Can you tell we were obsessed with these giant sunglasses?
I worked hard to create some unique handmade pieces for this event, too, including weavings, dreamcatchers, coffeebag placemats, beanies, pendants, and more. I love how they came out!
I just love to make stuff. This popup shop was merely an excuse for me to work nearly nonstop on projects that I genuinely enjoy. Everything we're selling are things we'd secretly like to keep and wear ourselves, from the luxurious fur coat to the chunky beanies. Ha! I'm kidding - whatever we don't sell at the popup shop will be available online! Did I mention we're starting our own MK Vintage Handmade website? Yes, it's true, and you'll get to shop online soon! Stay tuned...
