There's a new collection in my shop - tea stained pendants! I added several new options earlier this week and have already had some great response to them. Aren't they lovely?
These pendants are special to me because each one is unique. Tea staining isn't uniform or perfect, which allows for so much creativity and beauty in the results. The golden, vintage look is achieved through using black teas, and the light blush colors are the result of using fruit and herbal teas. Sometimes part of the motif dyes darker than the rest, creating a gorgeous ombre effect. I can never predict exactly what the finished product will look like, which makes creating them even more interesting. I would probably never get tired of tea staining!
To prevent color bleeding and overall floppiness, I coat the reverse side of each motif with a clear sealant, leaving the front intact. After finishing, I assemble the pendants into necklaces using different chains and findings to make a truly unique piece.
As an added bonus, I've decided to include a free teabag with each tea-stained pendant! You get to choose herbal or black, and I'll throw a surprise bag in there for you.
Thanks for reading! Hop over to my shop for measurements, etc.
