Currently Crazy About: September 2016 Edition

Every so often I like to write a post about the craft/food/music/book I'm crazy about at the moment. By every so often, I think I mean every two or three months (seriously - time goes by so much faster when you don't have any). Let me start this one off by saying I am so freaking busy! As if working full-time isn't enough, I am also trying to keep up with two online college classes every 8 weeks, which means making sure I have enough time to study. Not to mention trying to keep a social life too and feed myself good food. But in the midst of the crazy, I am still somehow finding time to enjoy things. So here goes:

- Music. I made a fall playlist titled "the sounds of autumn" back in midsummer when I was excited about creating playlists. You can check it out here: The Sounds of Autumn

-Books. I am currently reading The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck (bleh) for book club, Knit It by Melissa Leapman, and I'm about to start The Wonder by Emma Donoghue (author of Room).

-Movies. I just watched Chef with Jon Favreau! It was a little rough around the edges but the food, oh my gosh, THE FOOD. I'm buying a food truck and driving around cooking people cubano sandwiches.

- Projects. Oh boy. I'm currently working on a giant weaving, a bulky crochet sweater, a beanie using wool my roommate brought me from Scotland, an oversized flower blanket for my cousin who is giving birth at the beginning of October so I need to SCURRY, and a bulky cable beanie using more wool. Too many projects.

-Food. I made this delicious apple cider braised chicken with butternut squash and mushrooms last week, and it was amazing. I also want to make these homemade oreos, and this Korean bibimbap.

-Hair. I'm getting a haircut next week, nothing crazy because I want to grow it out long, but these are inspiring me.

There you have it - an actual blog post!
