Book Review: Homemakers by Brit Morin / by Melody

Book Review: Homemakers by Brit MorinI love working at a library. LOVE IT. It may cause me to check out too many books at a time (I never seem to have enough time to finish them all - what's up with that?), but I still love it. One of the reasons is that I can look up books I've always wanted to read but can't justify spending money on (I'm sort of a cheapskate when it comes to money. Now you know me a little better!) And one of those books is Homemakers by Brit Morin of Brit + Co. Book Review: Homemakers by Brit Morin

I first picked this book up in Barnes & Noble. Loved the cover, loved the title, and loved the content. As soon as I opened it I knew it was a gem.

Brit is the modern Betty Crocker and Good Housekeeping all rolled into one. She breaks down the mysteries of domesticity for the uninitiated by including recipes, DIYs, patterns, and more. But here's the bonus: this book is written for the modern homemaker who's more tech-savvy than house-savvy. Along with traditional recipes and so forth, Brit includes apps and gadgets to go along with each section! If you're rearranging your living room, she's got the perfect app recommendation for you. If you want to learn how to plan the perfect dinner party, she's got five easy ways to fold a napkin for extra hostess points.
